CASA recruits, trains, and supervises volunteers from diverse backgrounds to advocate for children who have been abused or neglected. These children have been or are at risk of being removed from their homes. The advocates address the best interests and permanency for the children.
Volunteers Needed:
Advocate: collect pertinent facts concerning children of the case's family and identified parents. Report observations and facts to all parties and the court. Advocate for the children's best interests in court and the community. Regularly meet with the children at their placement visits or other venues. Maintain training to improve skills and knowledge base.
Office support: perform general office duties including ordering supplies, filing, create case files / volunteer files; answer phones. Maintain database information, input date. Support individual events: fundraising, recruitment, or training.
