Flower City Habitat for Humanity is a non-denominational Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating substandard and poverty housing in Rochester, NY.  Since 1984, Rochester Habitat has built or renovated more than 190 homes, and is one of the largest Habitat affiliates in the northeastern U.S.

Habitat ReStore is Flower City Habitat for Humanity’s recycled home improvement supply store. It is open to the public. Our ReStore sells new and like-new home improvement supplies that have been donated. 
Habitat ReStore Goals:
  • Use 100% of our profit to fund Flower City Habitat’s home building process.
  • Keep as many materials out of our landfills as possible.
  • Provide a resource for inexpensive DIY supplies.

  • Office: help with administrative side of our business.
  • ReStore: help our retail store to run efficiently.
  • Special events: help plan and implement fundraising events.
  • Hospitality group: help provide lunches, snacks, and beverages (e.g., hot cocoa, cold lemonade) to our construction volunteer groups.
  • Committee members: join one of eight groups to help us achieve our goals.
  • Construction: pitch in to help build houses.
