At Lifetime Care, we serve patients nearing end of life in Monroe, Wayne and Seneca County. Hospice care is specialized end-of-life care that allows patients and families to spend their final time together with comfort and dignity, receiving services focused on sustaining quality of life. Hospice works to minimize pain and manage the symptoms of advanced, life-threatening illness. In addition to the patient’s physical well being, hospice also addresses spiritual, emotional, and psychological concerns of patients and their families.

Volunteers Needed:

We have many different volunteer roles available at Lifetime Care including:

  • Patient/Family Support Volunteer:  Works directly with patients and their families. Tasks can include visiting, reading, writing letters, listening, shopping, household chores, allowing the caregiver some much needed downtime and undertaking other caring acts.

  • Office Volunteer:  An office volunteer helps the hospice team by assisting with administrative duties, such as filing, mail outs and special monthly projects.
  • Bereavement Volunteer:  Provides support to bereaved caregivers via telephone, support groups and visitation.
