We are a soup kitchen that provides nutritious midday meals and caring friendship to needy people in a safe environment. We operate every Wednesday and Sunday at Christ Church in downtown Rochester.
food items: canned kidney beans, tomato sauce, pasta (penne and ziti), dried beans (garbanzo beans, white beans, green and yellow split peas, brown and green lentils), rice, egg noodles, chicken and beef stock (32- to 46-ounce cans), crushed or whole Italian tomatoes (28- to 35-ounce cans), salad dressings, BBQ sauce, coffee, 100-percent juices (large-size), cider, large quantities of frozen meats (especially ground beef), boxed stuffing, powdered lemonade mix, ketchup, mustard, mayo, flour, sugar

restaurant-grade kitchen appliances and equipment (e.g., convection oven, food processor)
Volunteers are always welcomed. Five volunteers are needed for each meal service. They help with the dining room setup, meal preparation, plating & serving meals and clean up.All volunteers must be at least 18 years of age and complete a short program orientation session.To help, go to the volunteer section of the A Meal and More website and follow the instruction.
