FISH / RHAFT , Inc. serves the Rush-Henrietta School District residents faced with circumstances which may contribute to their being unable to remain in their own homes. Our volunteers dedicate themselves to helping our neighbors with certain transportation needs and/or with an emergency need in providing food for their family. Filling these needs is necessary for the health of our community. FISH / RHAFT, Inc., a mission of the Rush-Henrietta Interfaith League, is an all-volunteer, not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
R-H FISH (Friends in Service Here) provides free transportation for ambulatory Senior Citizens and others unable to drive themselves, to essential medically-related appointments. R-H FISH (established in 1969) is a member of LIFESPAN's Volunteer Transportation Consortium and Retired & Senior Volunteers Program (RSVP).
RHAFT (Rush Henrietta Area Food Terminal) delivers emergency food to qualified Rush-Henrietta School District residents to feed their immediate, in-residence family for a specified number of days. RHAFT (established in 1979) is a project of the Henrietta Chamber of Commerce and the Rush-Henrietta Rotary.

Dispatchers: work from home, one day a month (Sunday – Thursday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm as required) – messages passed on by the answering service. Arrange a driver for each client's next-day-ride request.
Drivers: transport Rush-Henrietta area ambulatory clients to and from medical and certain essential appointments within Monroe County. Choose your own availability schedule (Monday – Friday) for potential assignment, at your discretion. Mileage reimbursement offered; no-cost supplemental accident/liability insurance provided while on-duty.
Verifiers: work on-call from home, four days, approximately alternate months (Monday - Thursday, 9 am to 3:30 pm, as required). Interview clients determining their eligibility for food assistance. Arrange a driver to pack and deliver emergency food for qualified requests.
Information Technology: share your expertise with administrative volunteers regarding technology (hardware and software) concerns and potential technology solutions to organizational requirements.
Administrative support: work from home, as needed. Provide computer record-keeping and other administrative tasks necessary for business operations for the organization.
Board officers: share your experience and business expertise, as needed. Help guide our long-standing, growing organization into the future. Various newly opening executive positions.
