One World Goods is Rochester’s only fair trade gift shop.  We are committed to Fair Trade principles as defined by the World Fair Trade Organization, Fair Trade  Federation, and Fairtrade International. We are a volunteer organization committed to providing artisans and agricultural producers from around the world a marketplace for their products that honors their skills by paying them a fair wage and honoring other fair trade principles.  Our products are made with a commitment to sustainability, equal opportunity, environmental preservation and education.

Volunteers Needed:

• Retail Store - Volunteers greet and help customers in our retail store. Looking for friendly people with great customer service and able to run a register. Other duties include tagging items, restocking products, and keeping the store clean and tidy.  Requires being on your feet  3-4 hours.  We ask for a minimum commitment of two 4-hour shifts per month,and with us for at least 1 year.
• Backroom - Volunteers help process shipments in our backroom. Duties include opening shipment boxes, counting, sorting, and stocking on our inventory shelves. Must be organized, with attention to detail. Requires being on your feet, able to move large boxes and lift 40 pounds.
• Board Members and Advisors -  Subject areas: Media and Marketing. Contact us for additional subject areas.
• Teen volunteer opportunities: retail store and backroom volunteers (see above).
